Spænska ferðamálaráðinu og sendiráði Spánar í Osló er sönn ánægja að kynna spænskar kvikmyndir nú í haust í Bíó Paradís. Myndirnar verða sýndar dagana 13. – 16. nóvember en þær hafa allar þann samnefnara að sýna lífstíl, skopskyn og menningu spánar. Allar myndirnar verða sýndar með enskum texta og er aðgangur að hátíðinni ókeypis.

The Spanish Tourist Office, in collaboration with the Spanish Embassy in Oslo are proud to present Spanish Film Days in Bíó Paradís this autumn. One film will be screened every day from Thursday November 13th until Monday November 16th at 20 o’clock. Free entrance.

When Diego gets dumped on the eve of his wedding, his best cousins – the macho womanizer, Julian , and the milquetoast hypochondriac, Jose Miguel  – whisk him away to the village where he first “dunked his donut” with puppy love interest, Martina, who still lives there. Blancanieves (Snow White) – November 14th at 20:00

She learned the art of bullfighting of her father, a famous bullfighter, but was hated by her evil stepmother. One day she ran away and she was found by a troupe of bullfighting dwarves. As she does not know her name or background, the dwarfs name her Blancanieves (Snow White), after the famed fairy tale. What they are all unaware of is that she is really Carmen, the daughter of the once great matador, Antonio Villalta, and she becomes a legend. Set in southern Spain in 1920s, Blancanieves is a tribute to silent films.

. Blancanieves is a 2012 Spanish black-and-white silent fantasy drama film written and directed by Pablo Berger. Based on the fairy tale “Snow White” by the Brothers Grimm, the story is set in a romantic vision of 1920s Andalusia. Berger calls it a “love letter to European silent cinema.” Blancanieves was Spain’s 85th Academy Awards official submission to Best Foreign Language category, but it did not make the shortlist.  The film won the Special Jury Prize and an ex-aequo Best Actress “Silver Shell” Award for Macarena García at the 2012 San Sebastián International Film Festival. It also won ten Goya Awards, including the Goya Award for Best Film at the 27th Goya Awards. English subtitles. Here you can reserve tickets
